Klamath River Resort Inn

I found myself at this beautiful motel after driving for hours in search of a dry place to rest. As soon as I connected with John, the owner, I could tell I was going to have a safe and good stay. John and Cindy (host, maid service) were both extremely friendly and accommodating. John really makes you feel at home on this beautiful lush property. The stunning view is truly exceptional being right on the Klamath River where you can see salmon jump, ducks wade, and if you're lucky a friendly otter that will say hello. I was additionally graced with a magical appearance of a doe as she wandered the property in search of food. There are so many gorgeous trees to look at on the property including pear and apples trees. And there is a creek that runs along side the property that provides the exceptional clean mountain spring water, which is additionally filtered and tastes amazing. All the rooms look out at not only the river, but the breathtaking mountains that majestically surround the river. The rooms are very clean and most of them have been upgraded with new carpets, flooring, bathrooms, kitchens, new furniture, remote controlled gas heated faux fire places and bedding. The rooms feel warm and inviting, which is an important quality to have in an overnight stay. It's clear John has put a lot of love into this property since he took it over. Each room comes with a fully equipped kitchen, which is wonderful to have making the room rate extremely reasonable for what you get. I highly recommend staying here even during the rainy season, but I look forward to returning in the summer.

Stayed here while working and the place was very comfortable and clean giving it a home like feeling. The lady that's on site was very kind and provided us with a nice stay. Only downfall is there is no laundry on site. You have to go down the road into happy camp to the Laundromat. Other than that it was very nice. Would stay again

Great views, clean rooms and a family environment! Fishing too! BBQ, a great lawn that extends to the river! You might even see Eagles and deer passing through. Definitely a must if you need to stay for a night or a week! Owners are awesome and know the town!

I spent just the most amazing week there, the area is breathtaking and away from all the city noise and madness. It's a stones throw from the Oregon border, enjoy time there too. Take a step back, take a deep breath, and escape life if you please. This place is family friendly and/or for the solo traveler. However you arrive, your calming senses will be tickled. Owner/operator/caretaker/host John is an amazing man. He took great care of us and showed us cool things. We enjoyed water activities such as rafting, as well as fun times at the nearby creek. We visited the nearest lookout tower and marveled at our view, its God's country in it's truest form. Followed by wonderful bonfires right next to the flowing river, enjoying it with friends and family. If you want an adventure, a quiet space, or roll around in the giant grass field, please head here and disconnect for awhile. Only then will you know what I felt. Take care, safe travels.

My boyfriend and I were on a long road trip from Los Angeles to Portland and back, and Happy Camp was right on our path. Beautifully quaint and peaceful property, lovely setup, cozy rooms with a full kitchen and cute fireplace heater!! We didn't arrive till 7 pm, and the two restaurants in town were not open..with no sight of breakfast options or a grocery stores of any kind for the morning. The owner, John, knew that we were hungry and gave us fresh eggs , cheese, toast, macaroni, apples and bread from his own fridge!!! John and Cindy (property manager) went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable and cared for during our stay. Truly lovely people..felt like staying with relatives. The town itself isn't the most glamorous of locations, sure..But what you get instead is a front row seat to unfiltered , raw nature. The view from the rooms is truly lovely. An absolute treat and a needed quiet, reflective moment in our trip.

Stunning riverfront property with rooms facing the water. We sat under stout sprawling trees in the evening enjoying conversation with new friends. Rooms are well appointed and property well maintained. We met John, the owner for the past four years and who was a general contractor. He's put in a lot of work to upgrade and improve amenities. We got a tour of two rooms joined by a kitchenette which would be ideal for a family or two couples - impressive. Perfect getaway for those wishing to unwind. Also looks like a great location for weddings, a family reunion, a fishing buddy getaway, or even a music on the green event.

This Idyllic location on the bank of the beautiful Klamath River, is enhanced by The Klamath River Resort Inn, making it an ideal River vacation destination. We were lucky enough to stay in the Herbert Hoover Presidential suite and were more than satisfied with the amount of space and amenities. It was delightful to have lovely views of the river inside the cabin and outside our door. It was enjoyable for children to have so much space to play while the adults had several comfortable sitting options. The owner and caretakers take pride in taking good care of the entire property and by providing the best service. Thank You, Cindy
